Sunriver, Oregon is a planned residential and resort community in Deschutes County.
Located on the eastern side of the Deschutes River about 15 miles south of Bend, Sunriver was once a part of Camp Abbot, a World War II-era military training post. Today, Sunriver is primarily a resort community with some year-round residents as well. There are about 4,200 homesites nestled under a beautiful and serene forest of pine trees. Residents enjoy plentiful biking trails, river access, and resort community amenities. With its wide selection of single family homes, condominiums, cottages and cabins, Sunriver is a popular choice for vacation homes and rentals. Art galleries, restaurants and breweries, plus community events like the Sunriver Music Festival round out the cultural opportunities in Sunriver.
You’ll find parks, tennis and pickleball courts, golf, walking and biking paths, community pools, a small airport and a marina, as well as shopping and restaurants. Homeowners enjoy a high quality aesthetic thanks to the Sunriver Owners Association. The guidelines put forth by the association help to preserve Sunriver’s nature-based lifestyle.
